Konstantin Khabalashvili

Konstantin Khabalashvili ( Georgian კონსტანტინე ხაბალაშვილი , born May 7, 1992 ) is a Georgian wrestler . He won a bronze medal in free style in the weight class up to 65 kg body weight at the 2014 European Championships .

Career

Konstantin Chabalashvili started wrestling as a teenager in 2001. He concentrated on the free style. He has been trained by Nugzar Schireli since the beginning of his career in a sports school in Gori . At a height of 1.75 meters he wrestles in a lightweight .

He began his international career in 2009 by participating in the European Junior Championship (Cadets) in Zrenjanin. He took 2nd place in the weight class up to 63 kg behind Adam Jakubow from Russia. After a somewhat longer break, he competed at the European Junior Championships in Zagreb in 2012. But he missed the medal ranks in the lightweight with 5th place. In contrast, he was runner-up in the same weight class behind Magomed Kurbanalijew from Russia at the Junior World Championships in Pattaya in September 2012 .

In 2013 Konstantin Khabalashvili was used at the European Championships in Tbilisi. He came there to a victory over Vilson Ndregjoni from Albania, but lost in his next fight against Ilyas Bekbulatow from Russia. Since he did not reach the final, he was eliminated and finished in 8th place. At the 2013 World Championships in Budapest, Levan Kelechsaschswili was preferred in his weight class.

In April 2014 he was back in the Georgian team at the European Championship in Vantaa / Finland. He defeated Angelo Costa from Italy in the new weight class up to 65 kg, then lost to Magomed Kurbanalijew and then secured the bronze medal and thus his first medal in one with victories over Arkadiusz Szeja from Poland, Martin Daum from Germany and Asamat Nurikow from Belarus international championship in the senior sector.
