Constantine Sathas

Constantine Sathas ( Greek Κωνσταντίνος Σάθας ; * 1842 in Galaxidi ; † 1914 in Paris ) was a modern Greek historian and literary historian.

Life

Sathas attended high school in Athens and devoted himself particularly to the study of medieval Greek literature; He found many works in the libraries of Europe that were important for modern Greek history and the formation of the Greek language.

In 1876, Sathas became a corresponding member of the Bavarian Academy of Sciences .
