The Coordinating Council of the Christian-Islamic Dialogue eV (KCID) (until 2007 the coordinating council of the associations of the Christian-Islamic dialogue in Germany eV ) is the umbrella organization of Christian-Islamic dialogue organizations in Germany. Its seat is Berlin .

Structure and tasks

The association has 14 member organizations (as of March 2015). The activities of the KCID include events such as lectures and conferences. He represents the member organizations at the federal level. Most of them are active locally or regionally, some also supraregional or nationwide, such as the Christian-Islamic Society or the Bendorfer Forum . According to the statutes of the KCID, any long-term association of Muslims and Christians in Germany can become a member of the association if it is primarily dedicated to dialogue and cooperation and members of both religions are represented in its governing bodies.

The chairmen were Murat Aslanoğlu (as Muslim chairman) and Melanie Miehl (as Christian chairwoman) from the foundation of the association until 2008 .
