The Kopili is a left tributary of the Brahmaputra in the Indian states of Meghalaya and Assam .

The Kopili has its source in the Meghalaya highlands . The river is dammed in the upper reaches of the Kopili dam . The Kopili crosses the border to Assam and then flows through the lowlands of Assam in a left curve . The river passes the city of Kampur and continues its course in a westerly direction. It finally reaches the south bank of the Brahmaputra 25 km east of Guwahati . Shortly before the mouth, the Digaru meets the Kopili from the left. The Kopili has a length of 256 km. Its catchment area covers 15,800 km².
