Koppenbach is a district of the Upper Bavarian market Hohenwart . Until 1978 it was the seat of an independent community .

Geographical location

The village of Koppenbach is located on the Koppenbach, about three km southwest of the main town of the market town.

history

The villages of Ellenbach, Englmannsberg, Hahnhof, Loch, Rothof and Wolfshof also belonged to the community founded in 1818 with the Bavarian community edict. Until the regional reform in Bavaria in July 1972, the independent municipality of Koppenbach belonged to the district of Schrobenhausen . On January 1, 1978, it was incorporated into the Hohenwart store.

Attractions

The local chapel is a plastered gable roof with a gable roof turret from the 2nd half of the 19th century.
