Korbinian Frenzel
Korbinian Frenzel (born 1978 in Wolfsburg ) is a German journalist . He works for the news desk of Deutschlandradio .
Life
Frenzel made his first experiences in journalism with the Wolfsburger Nachrichten (part of the Braunschweiger Nachrichten), but decided to go into politics. He studied political science at the Free University of Berlin, the Institut d'Etudes Politiques in Aix-en-Provence and at the University of Amsterdam . He worked for members of the Bundestag of the government factions during the time of the Schröder I cabinet . In autumn 2005 he wrote several articles for the daily newspaper Frenzel went to Brussels in 2005 out of interest in European politics and his future partner. He worked for four years in the European Parliament as a speechwriter and speaker in Brussels and Strasbourg for Michael Cramer, Member of the Greens .
After his time in Brussels, Frenzel switched back to journalism and completed an internship at Deutschlandradio. From 2012 he presented the morning program on Deutschlandradio Kultur and since 2016 has been editor-in-chief for “Primetime” at Deutschlandfunk Kultur. He mainly moderates the lunchtime show "Studio 9 - The day with ...".
Frenzel has two daughters with his partner. He is the chairman of the radio department at the Journalistenverband Berlin-Brandenburg eV, a regional association of the German Association of Journalists .
