Kornelia Möller (born August 12, 1951 ) is a German university professor and teacher .

Studies and legal clerkship

Kornelia Möller studied mathematics , geography , sports , technology , education and philosophy at the Westphalian Wilhelms University in Münster from 1970 to 1977 . In 1975 she passed the first state examination for secondary school teaching in mathematics, sport and pedagogy, a year later that for high school teaching in geography, mathematics and sport and began training as a trainee teacher in Recklinghausen. In 1978 she passed the secondary state examination in mathematics, geography and physical education and began a diploma and doctoral degree in technology, pedagogy and psychology at the Pedagogical University of Westphalia-Lippe , Department of Münster and at the Westphalian Wilhelms University of Münster. From 1977 to 1983 she studied psychology at the University of Münster and from 1978 to 1981 she wrote her dissertation on "Action-intensive learning as a child-appropriate form of learning in technical and natural science teaching at primary level - focus on technology. Theoretical foundation and specification." Both doctorate and dissertation were awarded with distinction. Her habilitation in the physics department took place in Münster in 1990 with the text "To think 9 to 11 year old primary school children about phenomena and problems from nature and technology - focus on technology"

Teaching

Since 1982 she worked in Münster as a research assistant and university assistant. In September 1990 she accepted the call to the University of Bielefeld for a C 3 professorship "Theory and Practice of Primary Level Teacher Training / Focus on Didactics of Subject Lessons", and in August 1993 to the University of Münster for a C 3 professorship "Didactics of the learning areas Natural science / technology and social studies ". She turned down two appointments as Ordinaria at the universities of Schwäbisch Gmünd and Bamberg . Since January 22nd, 2002 she has been the executive director of the seminar for didactics of the subject teaching at her university.

Awards

On November 12, 2013 Möller received the 50,000 euro main prize of the Polytechnic Prize for the didactics of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology (MINT) of the Polytechnic Society foundation for their project class (es) kisten in science and technology lessons can be used at primary level.
