Koronos (son of Kaineus)
Koronos ( Greek Κόρωνος ), the son of Kaineus , was a king of the Lapiths in Greek mythology . He lived in Gyrton in Thessaly and had two sons Andraimon and Leonteus and a daughter Lyside . He took part in the voyage of the Argonauts .
Because of border disputes, war broke out between the Lapiths and the Dorians . So Koronus went to the field against Aigimios and was finally killed by Heracles , who came to the aid of the Dorians.
