The Kotel (German Kesselkoppe ), 1435 m, is located in the Bohemian Ridge of the Giant Mountains . After the High Wheel and the Violet Stone, it is the third highest point in the western Giant Mountains and the highest point of Liberecký kraj . The southeast flank is steep and rocky; to the north, the mountain falls fairly flat to the Pantschewiese. The mountain lies in the quiet zone of the national park and is therefore rarely climbed. The high path from Rokytnice to the source of the Elbe crosses the northern slope 50 meters below the summit.
