Kowaliwka ( Ukrainian Ковалівка ; Russian Ковалевка Kowalewka ) is a village in the Ukrainian Poltava Oblast with about 2100 inhabitants (2001).
The village, founded in the 17th century, was destroyed by the Tatars in 1658 , but rebuilt and burned down again by the Swedes on March 16, 1709 and subsequently rebuilt. Since July 2017, the formerly independent district council has been administratively part of the Stepne ( Степне ) rural community in the east of Poltava Rajon .
The village is located on the right bank of the Kolomak , which flows 3 km downstream from the left into the Worskla . Kowaliwka is located 14 km northwest of the Stepne Community Center and 15 km east of the Poltava city center .
The M 03 / E 40 road runs south of the village .
