The power plant Guohua Taishan is a coal plant that the South China Sea in Taishan , province of Guangdong , China is located.

With an installed capacity of 5 GW , Guohua Taishan is one of the most powerful coal-fired power plants in the world. It serves to cover the base load .
Power plant units
The power plant consists of two plants with a total of seven blocks of different capacities that went into operation from 2003 to 2011. The following table gives an overview:

Blocks 6 to 7 use supercritical steam generators (see supercritical water ). The power plant is cooled with seawater. The cooling water pumps for units 1 to 5 were supplied by KSB .
