Kragholm

Kragholm is the name of a district of the municipality Munkbrarup in Schleswig-Holstein, which consists of a small settlement on the street of the same name Kragholm.

The year 1794 is carved into a brick of the main house in the gable of Kragholm 3 farm, probably the year the farm in question was built. In 1841 Hans Nicolai Andreas Jensen mentioned in his "attempt at church statistics of the Duchy of Schleswig" a sexton with two associated distant hooves called Kragholm. The clergyman Peter Paulsen mentioned Kragholm in 1845 in his "attempt at school statistics for the Duchy of Schleswig" as a church village of Munkbrarup.

Today Kragholm exists as a small settlement, consisting of the houses Kragholm 1 to 6. Since 1946 the wood carving workshop of Johannes Jensen and later his son Peter Jensen existed in Kragholm . The workshop in Kragholm apparently closed after his death in 2000. Today, the Jessen family's farm, which also serves as a holiday farm, is located at Kragholm 3. On the northern edge of Kragholm there are also other farms scattered along the Svensteen road, including the organic farm Seventeen number 8, where not only chickens but also anglers' pigs are kept and which also serves as a holiday farm.
