Krahu i shqiponjës ( dt : eagle wing) is an Albanian-language magazine that covers political, cultural, literary and social topics. It is a representative body for the interests of the Çamen . The founder and publisher was the journalist Bilal Xhaferr Xhaferri .

history

The first edition was published in October 1974 in both Albanian and English as an organ of the Çamen League in Chicago . 39 issues of this bilingual edition were published.

Krahu i Shqiponjës served as a platform for free democratic expression of opinion with a strong anti-communist or anti-totalitarian orientation. Their aim was to unite the Albanian political forces in emigration and to transform Albania into a free and pro-Western state. The national Albanian problems, the concerns of the Çamen as well as the problems of the Albanian communities in the diaspora were dealt with .

Since August 1995, Krahu i shqiponjës has been published from Tirana under the direction of the journalist and writer Shefki Hysa as an organ of the Çameria- based cultural society Bilal Xhaferri . Around 80 issues had been published by 2008.

Today's content includes both interviews and translations by foreign authors such as Alfred de Musset , Jack London , Jean-Paul Sartre , Miranda Vickers and Christina Rossetti, as well as by Albanian authors such as Dritëro Agolli , Bilal Xhaferri , Ismail Kadare , Namik Mane , Pjetër Arbnori , Shefki Hysa , Vath Koreshi and Martin Mato . The concerns of the Çamen are still dealt with in detail.
