Jonava Hospital
The Jonava Hospital (lit. VšĮ Jonavos ligoninė ) is a communal hospital of the Jonava Rajongemeinde . It is located at the Central Stadium of Jonava City ( Kaunas District ), Lithuania . For inpatient treatment, there are 8 departments with 105 beds, 4 beds for anesthesiology and resuscitation , 7 beds for day surgery and 25 beds for short-term treatment, 3 beds for general care and palliative care . The hospital also has an outpatient clinic for outpatient advice and treatment, a dental prosthesis laboratory . In counseling clinic doctors also work from the LSMU - University Hospitals Kaunas . Jonava Hospital is also a training facility for young interns within the framework of cooperation with the Medical Academy of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences . Around 10–12 medical students in their sixth year of study (11th – 12th semester) come to the hospital for their clinical elections every year . The internship is carried out in the Department of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Surgery, Traumatology. It takes half a year.
history
The hospital was built in 1971 in what was then Soviet Lithuania and previously had 325 beds. After Lithuania's independence, it was registered as a public institution on September 30, 1997. In 2008 the company achieved sales of EUR 4.3 million. In July 2018, the hospital employed over 440 people. In 2017, the average age of doctors was 45 years. Every year about 30 doctors come and about 10 specialists leave.
