Krassimir Avramov

Krassimir Avramov ( Bulgarian Красимир Аврамов , * 21st February 1972 in Sliven ) is a Bulgarian singer.

Career

Avramov grew up in the city of Sliven, but later went to the capital Sofia and studied there at the National Academy of Theater and Film Arts "Krastjo Sarafow" . In 1997 he released his debut album, Silent Voices , and moved to Los Angeles the following year . In 2005 he received the Superstar of the Year award at the Los Angeles Music Awards for his album Popera and also held a concert at the Kodak Theater .

In 2009 he took part in the Bulgarian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest . His song Illusion , which he wrote with William and Casie Tabanou, won the Be a Star finale on February 21, 2009 with over 55% of phone calls. Thus Avramow represented Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow . In the run-up to the competition, he toured Greece , Turkey and the United Kingdom, among others .

In the first semifinals, Avramow only finished third from last with seven points and therefore could not qualify for the final. During his performance he was supported by three background singers and two stilt walkers .
