Krastjo Mirski

Krastjo Petrow Mirski Bulgarian Кръстьо Петров Мѝрски , (born January 29, 1920 in Sofia , † April 4, 1978 ibid) was a Bulgarian director.

Life

Mirski studied theater and acting in Paris , Vienna and Cologne . He then worked for many years as a director at the Bulgarian National Theater in Sofia and was one of the most important directors in his country.

His best-known productions include The Daughter-in-Law after Georgi Karaslawow , Love (Wassilew), Don Karlos ( Schiller ), Nora ( Henrik Ibsen ), The Forest ( Alexander Nikolajewitsch Ostrowski ), Wassa Schelesnowa ( Maxim Gorki ) and The Court of Honor (Ignatow).

He was awarded the Dimitrov Prize.
