In 1984 the four Montafon musicians Jürgen Ganahl, Bernd Tagwerker, Bernd Schnetzer and Christoph Bitschnau founded the band impression . In 1987 they took part in the largest European music competition, the popodrom . They won the jury and the audience.
As a result, the band impression received a record deal from cbs and were voted Vorarlberg of the Year .
During the preparation for the second oshin CD in 1993, various texts were written in the Montafon dialect, which were written down on the side, which led to the founding of Krauthobel .
