District and city handbooks of the Westphalian Heimatbund

The series of district and city handbooks of the Westphalian Heimatbund was published between 1947 and 1953 by the Regensberg publishing house in Münster . It was organized by State Archives Councilor Dr. Wilhelm Schulte-Ahlen published on behalf of the Westphalian Heimatbund .

The paperback volumes, illustrated with numerous line drawings, contained brief descriptions of the urban and rural districts in the Westphalia region that existed before the regional reform . In addition to a general overview, the manuals provided data and facts on history, the economy and traffic conditions. The volumes were completed by a more or less extensive catalog of literature. There was also a circular map on the inside of the back cover.
