Plungė District Court

The Plungė District Court (lit. Plungės rajono apylinkės teismas , 'the Plungė District Court') is a district court in Plungė , in northern Lithuania , Telšiai district . There is a mortgage department in the court, which is responsible for the district of Plungė and Rietavas municipality . There are six judges , four assistant judges , six secretaries and an office manager. The court belongs to the ordinary jurisdiction (the appellate body: Klaipėda District Court ).

history

From 1926 there was a position of justice of the peace . The first judge was Vladas Vasiliauskas. There was a People's Court in Plungė Raion in Soviet Lithuania . In 2011 the new building was built. In 2018 the court ceased to exist after the Lithuanian judicial reform.
