Predecessor institutes
Today's Kreissparkasse Euskirchen has several predecessor institutes:
The district administrator of the Euskirchen district, Johann Peter Schroeder , who was in office from 1833 to 1874, founded the Euskirchen district bank on September 26, 1855, the forerunner of today's Euskirchen district savings bank. There was also the Kreissparkasse Schleiden (founded in 1898), the Städtische Sparkasse Euskirchen (founded 1907) and the Sparkasse der Stadt Zülpich .
Mergers
In 1972 the Kreissparkasse took over the Sparkasse of the city of Zülpich. In 1973 the Kreissparkasse Schleiden and the Städtische Sparkasse Euskirchen were integrated into the Kreissparkasse. All 43 branches and the two mobile branches (with 45 stops) were retained. The headquarters and the main office were located in Alleestraße.
In 1999 the back office areas in the new Sparkasse center in Von-Siemens-Str. summarized.
In 2005 the main office on Alleestrasse was completely renovated and the Parkhotel opened there. In 2018, the Welcome Hotel Group, based in Frankfurt am Main, acquired the building complex.
