Johann Peter Schroeder (born June 24, 1794 in Heimbach , † October 4, 1876 in Haus Wachendorf ) was a German politician .

From January 3, 1833 to September 30, 1874 he was district administrator of the Euskirchen district . From 1850 to 1852 he also acted as a representative of the districts of Euskirchen, Mülheim am Rhein, Bergheim (Erft) and the district of Cologne in the Prussian House of Representatives. On September 26, 1855, he founded the Euskirchen District Fund, the forerunner of today's Euskirchen District Savings Bank .

In 1857 he was awarded the title of General Councilor. He also received the Rother Adler Order II. Class with ribbon and the Crown Order II. Class .

On 27 May 1858, the city awarded him Euskirchen the honor civil rights during his 25-year service anniversary as a district administrator. He thus became the first honorary citizen of Euskirchen.
