Günter Rosenke

Günter Rosenke (born November 21, 1950 in Aachen ) is a German politician (formerly CDU ). Since 1994 he has been the district administrator of the Euskirchen district .

Education and career

Rosenke finished his school and did his training in Aachen. In 1972 he became a technical officer in the telecommunications office in Aachen (now Deutsche Telekom ). He was also a part-time teacher at the telecommunications school in Cologne (department of data transmission technology). He also became a member of the staff council. From 1976 to 1980 he was chairman of the Deutsche Postverband / DBB for the telecommunications offices in Cologne. From 1975 to 1994 Rosenke was a member of the examination board for the telecommunications trade and telecommunications electronics technician.

Rosenke joined the CDU in 1975. In 1976 he became chairman of the Junge Union and a member of the JU district committee. From 1979 he was a member of the council of the community of Weilerswist . From 1980 to 1989 Rosenke was managing director and deputy chairman of the CDU local council group, chairman of various specialist committees (building, planning, road and accounting auditing). From 1989 to 1994 he was a member of the district council, deputy mayor, and managing director of the CDU district parliamentary group in Euskirchen . In 1994 Rosenke became honorary district administrator for the Euskirchen district, and since 1999 he has been a full-time district administrator for the Euskirchen district.

For the North Rhine-Westphalian local elections in 2009, Rosenke was no longer nominated by his party as a district administrator. He then resigned from the CDU, ran as an independent applicant and was re-elected district administrator with 42.8 percent of the vote.

  • Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Aachen Society for Innovation and Technology (AGIT)

Private

Rosenke is Roman Catholic . His father was a plasterer and his mother a housewife . He has five siblings. He has been married since 1971. Rosenke has two sons.
