Kreuzkirche (Bernterode)

The Kreuzkirche in Bernterode-Schacht, part of Breitenworbis in the Eichsfeld district since January 1, 2019, is a Protestant church. The parish belongs to the Sollstedt parish in the southern Harz parish of the Evangelical Church in Central Germany .

It was built in 1925 for Protestant miners according to plans by Eduard Fürstenau and consists of a simple hall and a small tower . In 1958 a chancel was added and a sacristy was added in 1984 . Four windows of the church building as well as the winged altar from 1959–1963 are a foundation of Charles Crodel and have been a listed building since 1966. Candlesticks by Fritz Kühn flank the winged altar .
