Way of the Cross (Grünsfeld)

The way of the cross in Grünsfeld in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg is on the outskirts on the station path. The fourteen stations of the cross are made of red sandstone and each have stone reliefs of the scenes of the cross. In addition, all stations have a metal roof that protects the sandstone from the weather. The Freilandkreuzweg is a listed building .

Stations of the Cross

The Grünsfeld Kreuzweg includes 14 stations with the following inscriptions:

Wayside shrines at Grünsfelder Kreuzweg

Between the ninth and tenth stations there is a small, grotto-like stone chapel with a depiction of the fallen Jesus under the cross. At the end of the Way of the Cross there is a large cross depicting Jesus crucified.
