Bennstedt war memorial
The Bennstedt war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Bennstedt district of the Salzatal municipality in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as a monument under registration number 094 55039 .
The Bennstedt war memorial is located on Karl-Marx-Platz east of Bennstedt Church . The war memorial is a wall in honor of the fallen in World War I with a plaque . On the memorial plaque there is the inscription DEN GEFALLENEN 1914 followed by an iron cross and continuing 1918 VON BENNSTEDT . The names of the fallen are not noted on the war memorial.
In Bennstedt there is still the base of another war memorial. It was probably demolished after World War II .
