Zorbau war memorial

The Zorbau war memorial is a listed war memorial in the Zorbau district of the city of Lützen in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments , the war memorial is listed as a monument under registration number 094 66179 .

The Zorbau war memorial is located on a green space at the Weissenfelser Straße - Am Teich intersection, opposite the restaurant at Friedenseiche. The war memorial consists of a stele for those who fell in the coalition wars and a wall for those who fell in World War I and World War II . The whole thing is surrounded by a fence .

The stele stands on a high stepped plinth . The stele is crowned by an iron cross . On the pedestal is an eagle with opening wings over two crossed cannons . The base and the stele are made of sandstone . On the base is the inscription:

On the wall behind the stele are the memorial plaques for the 10 fallen in the First World War and the 42 fallen in the Second World War.
