Kringla ( Norwegian for The Ring ) are a group of two islands and a few cliffs off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It lies between the island of Brøka and Law Promontory in the western section of Langsundet and forms the eastern boundary of Bell Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named it as a single island, mapped it in 1946 using aerial photographs from the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 . Aerial photos taken by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1959 showed that the formation contained more than one island.
