The Bell Bay (in Norway also Indrefjord called) is a bay on the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It lies between Mount Saint Michael and the Kringla archipelago . The entry from Langsundet into this bay is limited to the northwest by Skagen Point .
Norwegian cartographers mapped it using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . They named it as Indrefjord (Norwegian for Inner Fjord ). The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) changed its name in October 1960. Since then, the new namesake has been Sergeant Stewart Bell (1929–2005) of the Royal Australian Air Force , radio mechanic at Mawson Station in 1959.
