The Skagen Point is a striking, rocky headland on the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It marks the north-western limit of the entrance from Langsundet into Bell Bay .
Norwegian cartographers mapped them in 1946 using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 . They named it after the Danish town of Skagen at the northern end of the Cimbrian Peninsula , where Skagerrak and Kattegat meet. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English in 1972.
