The Langsundet (Norwegian for Long Sound ) is a 18 km long and 4 km wide strait off the coast of the East Antarctic Kemplands . It runs between the archipelago that includes the islands of Brøka and Havstein , and Law Promontory , which is connected to the mainland .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them descriptively, mapped them using aerial photographs of the Lars Christensen expedition in 1936/37 .
