Krisija Marinowa Todorowa ( Bulgarian Крисия Маринова Тодорова ; born June 1, 2004 in Varna ) is a Bulgarian singer. Together with the pianists Hasan & Ibrahim she represented her home country at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Malta , where she came second.

Life

As a nine-year-old student, Todorova was noticed in December 2013 in a talent competition at the Bulgarian TV channel BTV , where she first sang the song Listen by Beyoncé . The recording of her performance was accessed more than 100,000 times on the Internet within a few days and over 32 million times by April 2016. Before that, Krisija Todorova had completed three years of music education and first appeared in public at the age of three.

In June 2014, Todorova sang live in front of 42,000 spectators at the UEFA Europa League quarter-final match between Razgrad and Valencia at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in Sofia . This was followed by invitations to all important shows and programs on Bulgarian television, interviews, appearances and sound recordings, and finally the nomination as representative of Bulgaria at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2014.

Todorowa covers songs by Beyoncé , Christina Aguilera , Celine Dion , Tina Turner and Whitney Houston as well as by the Bulgarian singers Maria Ilijewa and Mariana Popowa .

She is being taught today by Swilena Detschewa in the Razgrad Children's Center. Since September 15, 2018 she has been attending the Lyubomir Pipkov National Music School in Sofia.

Krisija Todorova has two sisters.
