Kristian Eidnes Andersen

Kristian Eidnes Andersen (born July 2, 1966 in Faxe ) is a Danish composer and sound engineer .

Career

Kristian Eidnes Andersen completed his film studies at Den Danske Filmskole . After completing his studies, he immediately found work as a sound engineer for various film and television productions. He worked as a sound designer for several Lars von Trier films, including Idiots and Breaking the Waves .

With his music for the comedy Spillets regler , directed by Christian Dyekjær , Andersen made his debut in 2008 at the age of 42 as a film composer for a feature film. Since then he has been responsible for over 80 film scores for feature-length, short, documentary and feature films. For his music to The Man Who Saved the World , Fantasten and Lucia and Santa Claus , he was each nominated as best composer for a Robert . He won the award himself in 2010 for his music for Submarino .

In addition to his work in film, he currently heads the faculty for sound engineering at Den Danske Filmskole.
