Kristian Nushi (born July 21, 1982 in Klina , SFR Yugoslavia , today Kosovo ) is a Kosovar football player .

Career

Nushi started his career at KF Prishtina . From 1999 to 2002 he played for FC Spiez . For the 2002/03 season he moved to FC Wil . With FC Wil he played in the Axpo Super League from 2002 to 2004 , took part in the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2003 and won the Swiss Cup in 2004 . In summer 2007 he moved to FC Aarau , since summer 2009 he has played for FC St. Gallen and in the 2014/15 season he was under contract with FC Winterthur .

With FC St. Gallen, Nushi was relegated to the Challenge League in 2011. After the direct re-promotion he reached the 3rd place with the FCSG and thus the qualification for the Europa League. There the FCSG received the Russian record champions Spartak Moscow by drawing. Since Kosovo was not recognized as a state by Russia, Nushi did not receive a visa for the second leg in Moscow, which St. Gallen won 4-2 and qualified for the group stage. After stints at FC Winterthur and FC Tuggen , he has been playing for fifth division club FC Uzwil in Switzerland since 2016 .

National team

Nushi completed two games for the Albanian national soccer team and did not score a goal. On June 15, 2007, he made his debut in the friendly against Saudi Arabia in the Kosovar football team and scored the goal to make it 1-0. He was also part of the team in Kosovo's first official international match, playing five internationals between 2007 and 2014, scoring one goal.
