Kristin Hannah

Kristin Hannah (born September 25, 1960 in Garden Grove , California ) is an American romance novelist .

Life

Born in Southern California, she grew up with two younger siblings. She studied law and received her Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Washington in 1982 . Their Juris Doctor (JD) she received in 1986 by the Private University University of Puget Sound . From 1986 to 1993 she worked as a lawyer in Seattle .

Her first literary attempts fell during her student days, but she only began to write seriously when she was pregnant with her son. Her debut novel A Handful of Heaven was published in 1991. Her second book, The Enchantment from 1992, was translated into German and published in German-speaking countries as a Goldmann paperback under the title Hidden Magic . Further books by Goldmann and especially Ullstein followed.

Kristin Hannah is a member of the Romance Writers of America Association and Novelists Inc. She lives with her son and husband, a film rights dealer, on a small island in the Pacific .
