Kristin Raabe

Kristin Raabe (* 1970 ) is a science journalist and lecturer.

During their schooldays, Charles Darwin and Alexander von Humboldt were interested , who were their role models as naturalists on a journey, as well as studying biology with a diploma and philosophy. She has been working for WDR and Deutschlandfunk since 1998 . In 2004, a donated stay in Vietnam solidified her decision to turn more to journalism. She is a lecturer at the National Institute for Science Communication and at various German universities as well as a filmmaker and science journalist for Quarks & Co , Science in Focus , Technology Review and others. Since 2009 she has been a trainer for prospective journalists at various German universities, the Deutsche Welle Academy and the NaWik and the House of Competence (HoC) of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT).

Raabe is on the board of the International Society for Philosophical Practice . As an author, she has made over 35 programs for Wissenschaft im Brennpunkt , of which she received journalist awards for individual contributions. Her book Oma Hilde, Sokrates und der Dalai Lama: What we can learn from wise people was published by three publishers with four editions between 2010 and 2018.
