Kristine Wischniowski also Kristine Wischniowski-Helas (* 1944 in Dresden ) is a German sculptor , graphic artist , restorer and painter .

Life

Kristine Wischniowski was born in Dresden in 1944. She grew up as the daughter of the glass artist Helmar Helas (1914–1981) and granddaughter of the painter and restorer Max Friedrich Helas (1875–1949) in Dresden. She was married to the painter and restorer Werner Wischniowski (1927–2009). She is the sister of Volker Helas , the art historian , monument conservator and non-fiction author. Her son Christoph Wischniowski is a painter, graphic artist and illustrator .

Act

The painting of the parish hall of the Striesener Reconciliation Church was painted over with glue paint during the renovation of the entire church from 1956 to 1958 , which Fritz Löffler complained in a 1957 letter as the loss of an "excellent design". From 2004 to 2005 the wall paintings were restored or reconstructed under the direction of Kristine Wischniowski.
