Krisztina Tóth (2015)

Krisztina Tóth (born December 5, 1967 in Budapest ) is a Hungarian author .

Life

Krisztina Tóth learned sculpture at a technical secondary school and worked in this field. After graduating from high school in 1986, she studied Hungarian Philology at the Eötvös-Loránd University in Budapest and received a scholarship in Paris. In 1996 she published an anthology of contemporary French poetry in Hungarian translation. In 1989 her first volume of poetry, Őszi kabátlobogás ( swiveling the coat in autumn), was published, after which she regularly published volumes of poetry. In 2000 she received the Attila József Prize . Her first volume of short stories , Barcode , was awarded the Sándor Márai Prize in 2007.
