The Krka Bridge , Croatian Most Krka is an arch bridge made of reinforced concrete on the Croatian river Krka near the town of Skradin . The bridge spans the four-lane Autocesta A1 and was built between 2002 and 2004. Traffic was opened in June 2005.
Technical details and construction
The arch of the Krka Bridge has a cross-section of 10 m by 3 m and was cantilevered with auxiliary guy lines made of 5.2 m long reinforced concrete sections. The overhead deck is made of composite construction. A total of 12,000 m³ of concrete and 1,700 t of reinforcing steel were used for the construction .
The Croatian company Konstruktor Inzenjering took over the construction . The special company for steel construction was the Croatian company Duro Dakovic Montaža , which is now part of the German Bilfinger Power Systems GmbH . The German DYWIDAG-Systems International GmbH supplied the stay cables for the auxiliary guy lines . The carriageway crossings at the two expansion joints of the bridge come from the Swiss company mageba sa .
