Krossá is a tributary of the Skjálfandafljót in northeast Iceland .

The river flows through the Icelandic highlands . It has its origin on the Ódáðahraun highland plain . It flows almost exactly to the north and flows into the Skjálfandafljót as a right tributary on the highlands.
Krosságljúfur
On his way he dug a gorge about 90 meters deep and a few kilometers long called Krosságljúfur . Hyaloclastite and other volcanic rocks alternate in layers in the walls of the gorge.
Short-billed geese also breed in the gorge.
