The Krusenstern Strait ( Russian Пролив Крузенштерна ) is a strait in the Kuril archipelago , which runs between the southern island of Raikoke and the Lowuschki rocks . It connects the Sea of Okhotsk with the Pacific Ocean .
The strait was named after the Russian admiral and explorer Adam Johann von Krusenstern .
