Krystle Esdelle (born August 1, 1984 in San Fernando ) is a volleyball player from Trinidad and Tobago . Esdelle plays in the position of the diagonal attacker.

Career

In the club

Esdelle began her athletic career in athletics and switched to volleyball at the age of seventeen. The left-hander started her professional career in Indonesia . In the 2010/11 season she moved to France for the Quimper Volley club , where she even became the team's captain. She then moved to the German Bundesliga club Schweriner SC , where she became German champion in 2012 . Since 2012 she has been playing for the Polish first division club AZS Białystok . In 2012 she also took part in the Caribbean Volleyball League. There she played for the University of Trinidad and Tobago (UTT). In the final, Esdelle's team met the favorite Glamorgan. UTT was able to prevail, however, with Krystle Esdelle being considered an outstanding player.

In the national team

Esdelle made her debut for the national team of her home country Trinidad and Tobago in 2007. At the 2011 NORCECA championship , the national player scored the most points for her team, which finished in seventh place. In 2014 Esdelle was named Most Valuable Player of the tournament after winning a qualifying tournament for the NORCECA 2014 championship. In the national team, Krystle Esdelle is number 16.

End of career

In 2014, Esdelle retired after long suffering from a shoulder injury. In 2015 she resumed the game.
