action

Ann is a 15-year-old Christian girl who lives in Tartu, Estonia and has not yet got over her parents' divorce. Although she gets along with her stepfather Ants, she begins to develop a hatred of her unborn brother when she feels disadvantaged. She comes across a Satanist website on the Internet where she is directed by a Seth who wants to put a curse on her unborn brother. She doesn't believe that this could work and soon forgets about it.

At the same time, Ann gets a new classmate, Maya ( Lenna Kuurmaa ), who becomes an outsider because of her Gothic outfit, but still proves to be educated and quick-witted. Ann's brother is born, but after a few days his life is in danger because of a serious heart defect. Ann escapes from class and tries to ask Seth to lift the curse, but Seth doesn't answer. Ann's mother, Dora, and stepfather, Ants, learn that only a serious and expensive operation in Helsinki could save their baby. Dora and Ants, who also want to split up, want to seize this opportunity and drive from Tartu to Helsinki. Ann, who grievously reproaches herself, is left alone in the apartment. Ann tries to befriend Maya in order to lift the curse again, but when Maya learns that Ann has only contacted her for this reason, she is dismissive.

After a while, Ann and Maya become friends and Maya decides to take the Christian Ann to the Satanist meeting point, where it turns out that the Seth, with whom Ann was writing, is Maya's friend, but they keep it from Maya. After some hesitation, a ritual begins where Ann can call the devil Lucifer and lift the curse again. Only then does Maya learn that Ann and Seth already know each other and runs away disappointed. However, Ann invites Seth to her home and when the two have sex the next morning repeatedly, Maya, who is already injured, enters the apartment and catches her cheating friend Seth inflagranti. Maya then runs away and tries to kill herself in a motorcycle accident. However, she only hurts herself and breaks her arm, among other things.

Days later Dora and Ants return, Ann's little brother has survived the operation and will survive, and they both want to give their relationship another chance. When word got around that Ann seduced Maya's boyfriend, not only Maya lost her reputation as a rebel, but Ann lost her reputation as an inconspicuous wallflower. But it turns out that their friendship is already so strong that Ann and Maya continue to be best friends.
