Marek Kulič (born October 11, 1975 in Hradec Králové ) is a Czech football player .

Marek Kulič first played for Spartak Hradec Králové in his youth . Although he was considered a great talent, he gave up the idea of becoming a professional soccer player and hung up his soccer shoes at the age of 15. After only a few months he let himself be persuaded by Slavia Hradec Králové to continue and very soon played not only for the juniors, but also for the men's team. During the season he stopped again, this time on the grounds that his Abitur was more important to him. A short time later, some officials from Slavia moved to the Sokol Malšovice district association and were again able to convince Kulič to return to the football field.

It soon became apparent that Kulič, who played in attack, was too good for the seventh division. In 1994 he moved to the then fourth division Olympia Hradec Králové . There, too, he quickly exceeded the level and in the summer of 1996 had offers from the first division club FK Jablonec , Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč and from his former youth club SK Hradec Králové . Although his heart was attached to his home club, Kulič accepted the offer from Lázně Bohdaneč . He played there for two and a half years before he was loaned to Petra Drnovice in 1999 . The 1999/00 season began Marek Kulič again at Atlantic Lázně Bohdaneč, but soon moved to Dukla Příbram . Especially the first two years there were successful for Kulič, he scored seven and eight goals respectively. In the 2000/01 season he had an offer from the Korean club Chunnam Dragons , which offered a million dollar transfer, but club boss Jaroslav Starka declined.

In 2003 Kulič moved to SK České Budějovice , for whom he scored 17 goals in two seasons. In 2005 he was able to choose between the offers from Slavia Prague , 1. FC Brno and FK Mladá Boleslav , and finally he decided on the most lucrative offer from Mladá Boleslav . Also due to Kuličs ten goals in 28 games, FK Mladá Boleslav became Czech runners-up.

In early 2007, Marek Kulič moved to Sparta Prague , where he signed a contract until 2009. In 13 back-round games, he then scored seven goals and thus played a significant role in Sparta's Czech championship title.

In June 2009 Kulič went back to FK Mladá Boleslav.

National team

In the 1: 3 against Serbia on August 16, 2006 Kulič made his debut in the Czech national team . So far he has completed six international matches and was able to enter the scorers list in the 2-0 win against Belgium and the 7-0 win against San Marino . He also scored twice for the Czech national team in the friendly against FK Teplice on October 11, 2007.
