Kumi Yokoyama ( Japanese 横山 久 美 , Yokoayama Kumi ; born August 13, 1993 in Tama , Tokyo Prefecture ) is a Japanese soccer player .

Career

society

Yokoyama came to soccer in 2000 through her older brothers and her first club Tama SC, after stints at Tsurumaki SC ( 鶴 牧 SC ), FC Tama Jr, she joined Sfida Setagaya in 2007. After graduating from high school in November 2011, Yokoyama signed for Okayama Yunogo Belle , where she scored three goals in 31 games in two seasons. In January 2014 she announced her departure from Okayama and signed in the Nadeshiko League for AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies . On May 1, 2017, Yokoyama signed a one-year contract for the German Allianz Frauen-Bundesliga club 1. FFC Frankfurt . After she made 21 appearances in the Allianz Women's Bundesliga for 1. FFC Frankfurt in the 2017/2018 season, she returned to the AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies on May 31, 2018.

National team

Yokoyama began her international career in 2010 when she was used in six out of six games at the 2010 U-17 World Cup and scored six goals for her. There she won the silver medal in 2010. In the same year she was the first woman to be nominated for the FIFA Puskás Prize for her goal against North Korea. She was also part of the squad of the Japanese U-20 national team at the U-20 World Cup in Japan in 2012 . She has played in the senior national team since 2015. In 2018 she played a major role in Japan winning the Asian Cup for the second time. In the first group game against Vietnam, she scored the first goal of her team after three minutes, which then won the game 4-0. In the semifinals against China she was substituted on in the 73rd minute and scored two goals in the 85th and 88th minutes, which Japan reached the final. In this she was substituted on in the 72nd minute and scored the only goal of the game 12 minutes later, which Japan defended the title won four years earlier. With four goals she was the top scorer of the Japanese team and was only surpassed by the Chinese Li Ying, but had to share second place with two other Chinese women.
