Art machine

As art machine and Art Machines various representatives called kinetic art their kinetic works, for example, by wind, water or gravity driven, strength or engines. For kinetic art that produces something, such as drawings or sounds, the reverse of the term is often used: machine art . From October 18, 2007 to January 27, 2008, the Schirn Kunsthalle Frankfurt presented the exhibition Art Machines - Machine Art, for which a German-English catalog was published. From March 5 to June 29, 2008, the exhibition was then on view at the Museum Tinguely in Basel.

Another common expression among kinetic artists is the designation of their work as kinetic objects , a kinetic form of object art . The terms kinetic sculptures or kinetic sculptures as art forms of sculpture are also common .
