Aachen Art Prize
The International Art Prize Aachen has been awarded every two years since 1983 by the Association of Friends of the Ludwig Forum for International Art , the City of Aachen and “the Aachen economy”. It is intended to honor well-known visual artists "who have given the international art scene significant impulses" (quoted after self-portrayal). The honor is associated with an endowment of 10,000 euros and an exhibition in the Ludwig Forum.
