Kurihara Yūkō

Kurihara Yūkō ( Japanese 栗 原 祐 幸 ; * 1920 ; † June 1, 2010 in Shizuoka Prefecture , Japan ) was a Japanese politician .

biography

Kurihara was elected in 1962 as a member of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) to the Sangiin , the upper house, for Shizuoka Prefecture and confirmed in 1968. belonged within his party initially to the Kōchikai (Ōhira → Suzuki faction) . In the 1972 Shūgiin election , Kurihara moved to the Shūgiin , the lower house, in the five-mandate 2nd constituency of Shizuoka .

First appointed him Prime Minister Masayoshi Ōhira the labor minister in his first Cabinet , where he served from 7 December 1978 to 8 November 1979th

On December 27, 1983, Prime Minister Nakasone Yasuhiro appointed him Minister of State and Head of Defense in his second government . He held this office until the cabinet was reorganized on November 1, 1984.

On July 22, 1986 he took over the office of Minister of State and Head ( chōkan English Director General ) of the defense authority again in the 3rd Nakasone cabinet until November 6, 1987.

Kurihara's eldest son Hiroyasu took over his constituency in 1993 .
