Saxon postal mileage column Landsberg
The Kursächsische Postmeile Pillar Landsberg is a listed Kursächsische Postmeile Pillar of the city of Landsberg in Saxony-Anhalt . In the local register of monuments it is listed as a small monument under registration number 094 55191 .
General

history
The Landsberg post mile column is a distance column made in 1730 in the form of an obelisk . It was set up on the market square in Landsberg, as the post roads from Leipzig to Hamburg and Berlin crossed here. After it was dismantled, it was walled up in a stable building and rediscovered in 1954. The original coat of arms was brought to the museum. A replica of the post mile column has been back at its former location in Landsberg since 1989.
