Kurt Fiedler

Kurt Fiedler (born July 3, 1922 in Vienna ; † October 30, 1984 there ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and member of the National Council .

biography

Kurt Fiedler attended elementary school, secondary school and commercial academy. In 1940 he passed the Matura and then studied economics at the University of World Trade . In 1945 he received his doctorate and subsequently carried the academic degree Dipl.-Kfm. Dr.

After completing his studies, Fiedler was secretary to State Secretary Julius Raab in 1945, and subsequently secretary to the Federal Ministers for Trade and Reconstruction Eugen Fleischacker , Ernst Kolb , Josef C. Böck-Greissau and Udo Illig . In addition, Fiedler was a businessman and partner in his father's company, Tuchhaus Vindobona. He was awarded the title of Commercial Councilor.

After his death, Fiedler was buried in the Grinzinger Friedhof (group 22, row 10, number 2).

politics

Kurt Fiedler was district party chairman of the ÖVP Döbling from 1950 . He was elected to the regional executive committee of the ÖVP Vienna and was a member of the regional group leadership of the Austrian Business Association Vienna. From 1951 to 1962 Fiedler represented the ÖVP in the Vienna state parliament and local council , from 1962 to 1979 he was a member of the Austrian National Council. In 1975 he was elected Vice-President of the Chamber of Commerce for Vienna.
