Kurt Gebhardt (politician, 1929)

Kurt Gebhardt (born November 25, 1929 in Oberröslau ; † August 5, 1997 in Röslau ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Gebhardt attended elementary school and was an apprentice at the technical pre-school of the Air Force in Suhl . After serving in the front during World War II and being released from captivity, he began an apprenticeship as an electrician, which he completed with a journeyman's certificate. He then worked as an overhead line fitter at the Bavarian Electricity Delivery Company in Bayreuth .

In March 1966 Gebhardt became honorary 1st mayor of the newly formed community of Röslau, after having been a member of the local council of Oberröslau for ten years. He was also a member of the Wunsiedel district council in the Fichtelgebirge . From 1978 to 1986 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .
